Sortation Operative
Join Amazon Operations in the UK to bring customers’ orders closer to their doors. As a Sortation Operative, you may work in a sort centre or a delivery station. Your role is key in enabling fast, every day deliveries.

What does a Sortation Operative do?
Your mission will be to sort customer orders by final destination and consolidate them onto lorries and trucks for last-mile delivery. You’ll be up on your feet moving, sorting and moving between trucks – getting packages where they need to go.
In this type of role, your tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Unloading, lifting and relocating products using forklifts, pump trucks and power pallet trucks
- Scanning, sorting and diverting packages containing the full range of Amazon’s products
